A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Abia State, Chidi Nwankpa, has explained why the people of the state will vote out Governor Okezie Ikpeazu-led government in 2019 general election.
He said the government had failed in all facets of governance and vowed that the opposition APC in the state would sack the governor come 2019.
Nwankpa, however, described Governor Okezie Ikpeazu-led Peoples Democratic Party-government in the state, as a monumental disaster.
Nwankpa who spoke with DAILY POST on Tuesday, against the backdrop of the deplorable condition of Abia, advised the people of the state, to use their permanent voters’ cards, PVC, to enthrone the desired change in the state during the coming general election in the country.
According to the APC stalwarts,”The present government in Abia state, in a simple term, is a disaster. There are no two ways about it. Infrastructure is nowhere to be found in the state. Education is nowhere. Civil servants’ welfare is non-existing.
“So, we in APC, from House of Assembly to the governor, when we take over government in 2019, we will make a difference”.
” I call on every citizen of Abia state to use their permanent Voters’ cards, PVC, well. When it comes to general elections, we will go out and elect who will represent and govern us well.
On the upcoming APC primaries, the House of Assembly aspirant for Ukwa East constituency of Abia House of Assembly, advised members to maintain peace, so as to achieve transparent and acceptable exercise.
“At the primary election, which is just fast approaching. I urge all party members to maintain peace and harmony, and then, let us go in there and select the best among the rest”.
