A House of Representatives aspirant under the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Abia state, Naval Comdr. Macdonald Ubah(Rtd), has claimed that the people of Abia had suffered a lot under the Peoples Democratic Party-led administration in the state.
He, however, urged the electorates not to fall into the antics of the PDP, pointing out that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and his party,PDP, have destroyed governance in Abia State.
Ubah who spoke with DAILY POST on Sunday, against the backdrop of the poor conditions of Abia masses said, “PDP has failed at all levels. So, the electorates should vote for change. A change that will bring meaningful development to Abia, which has suffered a lot of neglect.
“So, the electorates should be wary of all the other intrigues that the ruling PDP in the state will try to come up with. And make sure their votes count. They should vote and ensure their votes are counted, and then protect their votes.”
“Till now, teachers have not been paid. Civil servants are being owed salaries. The so-called road constructions have stopped. The medical care is still as abysmal as it has always be”.
On the recent zoning of APGA presidential ticket to the North by the National leadership of the party, the National Assembly aspirant for Ikwuano/Umuahia constituency said, ,”That decision was taken at the NEC meeting, it is in line with what other parties seem to be doing. So, it is a welcome decision”.
