Abia Guber: Orji’s aide alleges threat to life, says “God will win”

The special assistant on e-governance and strategy to Abia State Governor, Obed Asiegbu, has alleged threat to his life over the stalemated governorship election in the state.

“I have received threats from those who think that they have all the contacts to get rid of strong voices but before they will get drowned, I will continue to write. For me, fighting for the just cause is priceless,” he said in a statement sent to DAILY POST on Saturday.

According to him, the opposition are desperate and have paid a popular television station to avoid professional coverage but bias coverage of events in Abia.

“Also, they have hired some people to speak as observers for them,” the aide stated in ostensible reference to the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA.

Continuing, Obed said the party “used the military to upturn the outcome of Aba South, Aba North, Arochukwu, Ohafia and Isuikwuato results.”

He alleged that Abia INEC Resident Electoral Commission, INEC, Professor Salina Oko and her colleague, the State Collation Officer, Professor Ozurumba are for the opposition.

He further listed prominent personalities including state governors as being part of the “conspiracy team against the common man’s victory of Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu.”

“However, in all of these, our #Godwin. The God of the common man is alive and ever ready to put them to shame.

“I will keep making it known to whole world that the forces of darkness that invaded Abia State will be disgraced.

“My brothers and Sisters from Ngwaland deserve some reasonable sense of belonging in our State.

“I stand with the common people against the unpopular wishes of some jet flying money launderers who, out of selfishness, are using the media to brainwash some of my people from the old Bende bloc.”

Obed added that his boss, the state government and the supporters of Ikpeazu will not be cowed by a brigandage who are out to seize the mantle of Abia Government leadership at all cost.
