Abia government dissolves market committee

Abia state Governor, Chief Theodore Orji has dissolved his cabinet and directed the Commissioners to hand over to their Permanent Secretaries within one week.

Chief Orji dissolved the cabinet after its last session yesterday.

All the Commissioners, Secretary to the Government, the Chief of Staff and the Deputy Chief of Staff were affected by the resolution.

The Governor appointed the dissolved cabinet after he was re-elected in May 2011 and has been working with them since then.

The outcome Information Commissioner, Dr. Eze Chikamnayo who confirmed the dissolution said that members of the state executives thanked Governor Orji for giving them the opportunity to serve him.

According to him, Orji was the best governor to have work with, as he is well focused and listens to genuine advices.

Chikamnayo said that the dissolution was “a routine administrative” procedure to reposition the administration, saying that it was not based on any ill-feeling.
