Former President, Goodluck Jonathan’s cousin and Bayelsa Commissioner for Local Government, Madam Serefina Otazi, is still with her abductors, who, family sources, say have reduced the earlier N100 million ransom they demanded to N40 million, The Sun reports.

While security sources in the state had revealed recently that the kidnappers are demanding N100 million to release Otazi, family member, Mr Endurance Frank, disclosed yesterday that the kidnappers had contacted the family and were now demanding N40 million ransom before she can be set free.

Frank further noted that the family was relieved after hearing from Otazi and appealed to the kidnappers to free her unconditionally.

On the case of the Bayelsa Governor’s kid sister, Nancy Dickson who was abducted 24 hours earlier than Otazi, her whereabouts is still unknown as she spent Christmas with her abductors who, reports say, have refused to make any contact with the family.
