Judgements of the National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal for Adamawa State, initially scheduled for Tuesday in the state capital, Yola, have been rescheduled for Wednesday.

Thus, senators Ishaku Abbo and Binos Yero as well as Hon Abdulrazak Namdas and others whose elections were challenged at the tribunal, now have to wait one more day to know their fate.

The Registrar of the Adamawa tribunal, Lawal Zaria, who stressed on Tuesday that the rulings had been shifted to Wednesday, August 28, attributed the change to health challenge affecting one of the members (judges) of the tribunal.

“One member of the tribunal is not feeling fine,” the registrar said.

Lawal Zaria who announced the new date to media men at the court premises in Yola, assured that the judgement would not be shifted further.

Senator Ishaku Abbo who is of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and representing Adamawa North Senatorial Zone, is having his election questioned at the tribunal by his predecessor, Binta Masi of the All Progressives Congress (APC), while Sen Binos Dauda (Adamawa South Senatorial Zone) who is of the PDP, was petitioned against, also by his predecessor, Mo’Allayidi Ahmed of APC.

Hon Abdulrazak Namdas who is of the APC and is currently representing Ganye/Jada/Mayo-Belwa/Toungo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives is facing his own challenge at the tribunal from his closest rival at the last NASS election, Kabir Muktar of the PDP.
