9th Assembly: Omo-Agege takes oath of office as Deputy Senate President

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege representing Delta Central Senatorial district has taken his oath of office.

Omo-Agege was sworn-in by the Clerk of the National Assembly, Mohammed Sani-Omolori.

The former Deputy Senate President was surprisingly nominated by Chukwuka Utazi representing Enugu North Senatorial district.

Ekweremadu is of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while Omo-Agege is of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and has been adopted by the APC and President Muhammadu Buhari.
