Mr. John Paul, an aide to Ondo State governor, Olusegun Mimiko has laughed off a recent media report, which claimed that over 5000 members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Reports had it recently that there was mass political exodus from the camp of the PDP, over what they claimed to be the governor’s monumental failure within the last eight years.
Reacting, however, Paul said the story was the writer’s figment of imagination, arguing that the party was strongly on ground in the state.
“How would one say over 5000 persons decamped to an opposition party? It is nothing but a figment of the writer’s imagination.
“If you claim over 5000 persons decamped to a party, where is the picture of the decampees? It is nothing but mere exaggeration.
“I can categorically tell you that the PDP is strongly on ground in Ondo State,” he told DAILY POST on phone.
He called on party faithful to ignore the reports
