A 42 year old man, Mallam Mohammed Jobo was Saturday strucked and killed by a thunderbolt while playing football at the police barracks football pitch after a downpour in Niger State.
The incident happened in the Sabon Titi community, in the Tunga area of Minna.
A source told PUNCH that, “The victim told his family members that he was going for his usual football practice at the police barracks football pitch. It was while he was on the field that thunder struck him dead.”
The thunderclap also affected some of the footballers in the pitch but only Mohammed lost his life.
