4-year-old boy slaughtered in Enugu

The Enugu State Command of the Nigeria police force says it has commenced investigations into the alleged killing of a 4-year old boy identified as Ugochukwu Ejim.

Police Spokesman in Enugu, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu disclosed that the lifeless body of the victim was recovered from a nearby bush about 24 hours after his parents declared him missing.

It was gathered that the unfortunate incident, which happened at Umuatugboma Akegbe Ugwu in Nkanu West local Government Area of Enugu State has thrown the entire community into confusion.

In a press statement made available to DailyPost, Amaraizu disclosed that “the deceased who has been missing since 6 p.m of 25/4/13 was seen lying in the pool of his blood in a nearby bush, close to their house, having been allegedly slaughtered with a knife by the throat”.

He added that the corpse has been deposited at the Mortuary of the General Hospital, Agbani for autopsy.‬‬
