4 dead as killings continue in Rivers state

Suspected assassins have shot and killed a yet to be identified man at a filling station at Rumuomasi, Port Harcourt.

Eyewitness told DAILY POST that some youths armed with sophisticated weapons trailed the man to “Oando filling station and opened fire on him inside his salon car.”

The incident, which occurred in the afternoon caused a stire around Rumuomasi.

The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the killing.

Graphic Image The Command has also confirmed the killing of a Police Sergeant identified as Sunday Adoga.

Police PRO, Ahmad Mohammad said the Command “is on top of the situation and will fish-out the criminals that carried out the attack.”

In the same vein, unconfirmed report has it that a military officer was shot by suspected cultists at Abarikpo, while another male civilian was shot dead at Ogbo communities all in Ahoada-East Local government area.

The Nigerian army, 2 Brigade Command, Port Harcourt is yet to confirm the report.
