Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State, on Thursday announced scholarship for 38 pupils of Inland Primary School, Imilike
The scholarship which will see the pupils through university education is in recognition of their special performance at the Peoples Democratic Party’s rally.
The PDP held its grand rally at Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State, the home of its guber candidate, Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
The pupils thrilled the mammoth crowd for more than 10 minutes, a situation that the highly elated Governor Chime announce a university scholarship for them on behalf of the State Government.
He said, “the government of Enugu State has decided to give scholarship to these school children that put up a wonderful performance here today.
“What they did here today is wonderful; even as adults, most people can’t memorize the way the did; there are 38 of them and we have decided to give them scholarship.
“Already, we have free primary education in Enugu State; so, in addition to that, they shall enjoy scholarship up to first degree”.
The Governor equally announced a special package for a retired headmaster, who coordinated the presentation, as well as automatic promotion for five teachers that equally joined the pupils in the presentation.
