Onetime Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, on Tuesday dismissed claims that he instigated the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, against the former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke, SAN.

In a statement by his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, in Abuja, the former Vice President urged Adoke and all those invited by the anti-graft agency in relation to the $2bn Malabu deal to go and clear their names instead of dragging others into the mess.

The statement reads, “The former Vice-President does not have a hand in the travails of the former Attorney General and Minister of Justice.

“The Turaki Adamawa advises the erstwhile Attorney-General and others so invited to focus on clearing their names instead of dragging innocent people into the fray.”

DAILY POST recalls that the former Attorney General had in a letter to the Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo pointed out the erstwhile Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar was one of those instigating the EFCC against him. He alleged that Atiku was among those behind his travails because he refused to hep them get a share of the $2 billion as ‘shareholders’ of Malabu.
