Former Secretary to Oyo State Government and governorship aspirant under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Barrister Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, has called on governors currently serving on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South West region to prepare their handover notes.
He made this declaration following the large turnout that greeted the PDP rally in Osogbo on Saturday.
Alli observed that with what happened during the rally, it was advisable for the APC governors into the geopolitical zone to prepare their handover notes before 2019.
He said, “With the just concluded mega rally of the party in Osogbo, Osun State, it will be advisable for the APC governors in South Western Nigeria to start preparing their hand over notes even before the 2019 general elections.”
The former Chairman, Odu’a Investment Company Limited, while expressing confidence that the PDP will bounce back and reclaim the region in 2019, boasted that, “the mammoth crowd displayed was to simply tell the APC led government in the country that the game is up.”
Alli added that “With what we witnessed on Saturday in Osogbo, the teeming Yoruba people are already tired of the APC and desire the return of a new set of people and a new order in the polity.
“Thank God for the rejuvenation of the PDP. God Himself is happy with the rally; considering how friendly the weather was and contrary to the expectations of the APC, the event went well devoid of rancour or violence.”
Alli, who expressed happiness that leaders of the party organised a decent rally which attracted an unprecedented crowd in the history of political parties in South Western Nigeria, however, admonished them not to relent till victory is totally achieved for the party in all the thirty-six states of the federation in 2019.
