The Progressive People’s Alliance, PPA, today stated that it is ready to wrestle power from the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP in the forthcoming 2019 elections in Delta State with a view to giving the citizens a new lease of life.
PPA Delta State Chairman, Chief Fred Obi made the assertion at the inauguration/swearing-in of Udu Chapter Executive of the Party in Udu Local Government Area.
While noting that Delta State need a new lease of life, Obi said the PDP had not helped matters for the many years it had been in power.
Obi said the people have not got the needed growth and development they yearned for.
Obi said the people will witness the difference between the PDP and PPA when it finally takes over the reigns of power in 2019.
He appealed to Udu people in particular, to enable it come to the seat of power so that the people can get the dividends of democracy.
Obi also charged the newly sworn-in executive led by John Ovedje to do their best to ensure that the party emerges victorious come 2019.
