A former Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Murtala Nyako, has said that the All Progressives Congress, APC, may lose the next general elections in the country if nothing is done to right the wrongs in the party.
Nyako, however, tasked the newly elected National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, to endeavour to fix the pressing issues before the polls.
He said this while addressing APC faithful in Adamawa State, who paid him condolence visit at the Nyako Ship House in Jimeta, Adamawa State.
Nyako alleged that undemocratically elected officials at state, Local Governments and Ward levels in the State had infiltrated APC, adding that the will of the people had been subverted.
He claimed that “if APC would win the 2019 elections, injustices and undemocratic elements must be removed to ensure that the party continued to lead Nigeria.”
The ruling party has been in crisis in Adamawa State and former governor Nyako’s camp has organized a rally to protest the recent party congresses in the state.
