2019: What Atiku will do to Buhari – Ex-APC BoT member, Nkire

A former chieftain and member of the Board of Trustees, BoT, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Sam Nkire, has said the game was over for President Muhammadu Buhari with the emergence of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, as the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate.

Abubakar had polled a total of 1532 votes to beat 12 other contestants during the party’s primary election in Port Harcourt, Rivers State

But addressing newsmen in Abuja on Monday, Nkire, who recently defected to the PDP, insisted that it was time for APC and Buhari to pack and go.

Nkire also said the wide gap between Atiku and his closest presidential aspirant, Governor Aminu Tambuwal during the PDP primary election was an indication of the huge acceptance he had in the party.

He said: “With Atiku stepping into the ring, there is no need telling the APC that the game is up and that it is time to stop, pack and go.

“Atiku is one of the few capable leaders Nigeria has been waiting for. Atiku is focused and courageous and has got a plan in his hands”.

The former APC chieftain stated that the 2019 general election was a foretold political debacle APC could not escape, given the degree of its betrayal of public trust, inability to protect lives and property; and its misuse of public institutions such as the INEC, the military and the police, for the single purpose of keeping itself in power.
