The All Progressives Congress’ chieftain and Dass Deputy council chairman, Alhaji Abdulkadir Wandi has insisted that the party’s decision to pass vote of no confidence on Speaker Dogara is irreversible.
Wandi hinted DAILY POST in an exclusive interview in Bauchi on Friday that the party’s decision was supreme and above personal interest of the Speaker.
Wandi stressed that his reaction was coming at a time when supporters of Dogara are rushing to the media to counter the party’s decision on the Speaker’s status in APC.
“Dogara’ s supporters should bear in mind that Dass, Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro APC have already passed vote of no confidence on him and is irreversible, the idea of rushing to the media cannot save the Speaker following his alleged roles to impeach president Buhari and his hatred for Governor Abubakar,” said Wandi
The deputy council chairman regretted that Dogara had betrayed the entire Dass, Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro constituents having distanced himself from those who supported him throughout his political career.
The deputy council chairman, however. Maintained that the choice of Godfrey Manasseh Marti as Dogara’s replacement in 2019 was paramount and a collective decision of the people in Dass, Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro constituency.
“There is no amount of intimidation that can stop us from supporting President Buhari, Abubakar and Mannaseh in 2019 election and we admonish the Speaker not to hesitate begging PDP to return to his former party before it will be late,” fumed Wandi
It could be recalled that APC executives in Dogara’s constituents had recently passed a vote of no confidence on the Speaker for his alleged linked to impeachment move against President Buhari, apparently to scuttle the president’s 2019 bid.
