Shehu Sani, Senator representing Kaduna Central, has revealed who will determine President Muhammadu Buhari’s fate in 2019.
Sani said the electorates will determine Buhari’s fate and not Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The lawmaker said this while reacting to a question from Seun Okinbaloye of Channels Television on Tinubu’s assurance that Buhari will emerge victorious in 2019.
Recall that Tinubu, a former Governor of Lagos State had on Tuesday in Abuja assured Buhari of winning in 2019.
Tinubu had said, “What you did today is bringing back hope. As for the question of a second term, you deserve it. We are going to work for it and we will win with you.”
Reacting to Okinbaloye’s question, Sani said, “Those who will decide the fate of Buhari and all those contesting are the electorate and no individual can say this is what the electorate will do.
“They are the ones to put the government on a scale, gage it and filter to see whether it is worthy of being re-elected into office.
“There are issues that confront the Nigerian state at present, and it’s very important and significant for the government to address them.”
