David Ogba Onuoha, a chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Abia state, has decried the continued destruction of billboards belonging to some aspirants in the state.
He described such act as barbaric and uncalled for, urging Abia youths not to allow themselves to be used as willing tools by politicians to foment trouble in the upcoming 2019 elections.
Onuoha spoke in a chat with DAILY POST on Friday night against the backdrop of rising cases of destruction of campaign billboards belonging to some aspirants in Abia state by disgruntled elements.
According to the Senatorial aspirant for Abia north zone, “I condemn in its entirety the destruction of billboards belonging to some aspirants in Bende local government area of the state.
“I believe that billboards do not win election but the people do based on their antecedents and appeal to the masses.
“This action is barbaric and uncalled for. They should be civility among the politicians as we approaches 2019 election.
“Abia youths should not be willing tools in the hands of the politicians in the upcoming election. The power of the people lie in and with the ballot box.”
