The Reformed All Progressives Congress (R-APC) has insisted that it is more interested in rescuing the All Progressives Congress (APC) from predators, rather than merging with another party.
Spokesperson of the R-APC, Kassim Afegbua, stated this in an interview with Saturday Vanguard.
Afegbua was reacting to rumours that the splinter group from the ruling party was planning to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“We haven’t gotten to that bridge yet. People are just trying to be preemptive.
“There is no discussion about party. We are poised to rescue our party first from the grip of political buccaneers and predators,” he said.
The National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, earlier this week alleged that the R-APC members were mercenaries hired to destabilise the party.
