The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani has provided reasons former President Olusegun Obasanjo and President Muhammadu Buhari still exchange pleasantries whenever they meet.

Obasanjo and President Muhammadu Buhari met and shook hands before the commencement of the National Council of State meeting at the Presidential Villa on Tuesday.

This happened barely 24 hours after the former President released a statement condemning the Buhari administration.

In a space of 48 hours, Obasanjo had attacked President Buhari on different occasions.

But it seems all was well with both men when they met at the Council of State meeting yesterday.

Shehu Sani explained that what is binding the two politicians is thicker than “the paste of their politics.”

In tweet on Tuesday night, Senator Sani added, “PMB and OBJ: Don’t be shocked when you see them shake hands and smile.

“The glue of their history is thicker than the paste of their politics.

“The pillar of their class interest is stronger than the emotions of their fanatics.”
