The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central district at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has reacted to the report that President Muhammadu Buhari stumbled during the All Progressives Congress, APC, rally in Lokoja, Kogi State on Wednesday.
DAILY POST reported yesterday that the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) had claimed that the purported collapse of President Buhari during the rally APC in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital capital, vindicates their stand that “he is physically unfit to continue in office.”
Some Twitter users also demanded that the President ceases to participate in the next election, judging him as unfit.
But in his reaction, Senator Sani noted that it was not right to mock those who stumble.
Sani wrote, “Mock not those who stumbled; Pressure not those who can stumble?”
However, some of his followers are of the opinion that the President should go back to Daura, his home town, and rest if he knows he is not fit to carry on.
@Olushola_Shola, replied, “And if thou knoweth thou will stumble, go back to Daura and rest, for why maketh thou all nation to stumble with thee?”
@barbatuneday, “…and those who knew they are been packaged to do what they don’t have the strength to do but do not want to give up because they don’t want to disappoint those who are benefiting from the packaging at the expense of the masses. Make we dey see as e go Kudos for your wise saying.”
