2019 presidency: PDP BoT member, Kaulaha Aliyu defects to APC, declares support for Buhari

A member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Board of Trustees, BoT, Kaulaha Aliyu, has defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Aliyu disclosed his defection to APC after some other defectors accompanied the Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar to a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, yesterday, News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports.
Addressing State House Correspondents after the closed-door meeting, the former PDP BoT member enjoined the APC to ensure President Buhari emerges victorious in the forthcoming general elections.
“It’s a matter of principles – I believe among all the candidates nobody can come near the integrity and honesty of President Buhari and with what he has done to the North East in particular, I feel I should support him and do the best I can for him to emerge victorious come Feb. 16, 2019,” he said.
