The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole on Tuesday urged Nigerians against voting for the Peoples Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar in the coming February 16 presidential election.
Oshiomhole said Nigerians should not vote for Abubakar because his alleged business partner, William Jefferson was in prison in the United States, US.
He said this during the APC campaign presidential rally in Ekiti State.
Oshiomhole urged Nigerians to vote for Buhari because the president will ensure sustainable infrastructure and opportunity for farmers.
According to the former Edo State governor, “Atiku has never spoken about what he will do about infrastructure, he has never spoken about how to stop urban-rural migration but Buhari is doing it. Today, life is returning to rural farmers because once the president placed a ban on importation of rice, our farmers are beginning to farm rice.
“As a former NLC President, Nigerian Railway Cooperation has the most functional trade union before the PDP came in 1999 and destroyed it. Going forward, Buhari is the way, everywhere we have gone to Buhari is the way.
“Nigerians have made up their mind to return a president they can trust and not the one whose business partner, William Jefferson is in prison. Let’s sustain what we have now so that Nigeria can move from where we are now to where we should be.”
