The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole, on Thursday, reacted to insinuations that the party was plotting to rig the forthcoming presidential election.
Oshiomhole declared that the APC had no intention of rigging because the party lacked the knowledge of such.
Speaking during APC’s Presidential campaign in Kano, he insisted that the ruling party has no reason to rig the forthcoming elections but will dismantle the “rigging machine” of the Peoples Democratic Party.
He also challenged PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to drag former President Olusegun Obasanjo to court for libel.
Oshiomhole maintained that failure to drag Obasanjo to court proves that Abubakar is corrupt as claimed by the former president.
According to Oshiomhole: “Atiku should sue Obasanjo to court for libel, over corruption claims and if he can’t do this, then he accepts what Obasanjo said, as such not fit to lead us.
“How can Atiku said he will create jobs, while when in power, he presided over the obituaries of factories across the country including Kano.
“Atiku is more interested in appealing to foreign sentiment. These foreign countries are angry that you Mr President kept TraderMoni, developing the poor, they are angry that you have achieved something that in the old NPA they called green revolution, they are angry that we are today self reliant in the area of Agriculture.
“Let me also state that we have no need to rig because we don’t know how to rig. However we know how to dismantle their rigging machine.
“PDP is already seeing their defeat that’s why they are shouting that we will rig the election.”
