2019 presidency: How Gov. Wike, Senator Abe are collaborating to defeat Buhari – Eze alleges

A former Spokesperson of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party, nPDP, and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Rivers State, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has alleged that Senator Magnus Abe and Governor Nyesom Wike were collaborating to weaken the chances of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 presidential election.

He said that the interlocutory injunction recently granted against the APC in the state by the Supreme Court was an eye opener to the plots by Wike and Abe to Sabotage President Buhari’s chances in 2019.

Eze said this in a statement issued to DAILY POST on Thursday where he noted that the wild jubilation from the Governor and the Senator over the injunction gave their intentions away.

Eze further pointed out that the reaction of Senator Abe and his very comments after the injunction had been given by the apex court further confirmed his claims all along that the Senator was a mole of the Governor and PDP in the APC, who had only stayed back all along to Sabotage the party and the chances of President Buhari during the 2019 polls.

He, however, wondered the reason why the Governor and his alleged ally, Senator Abe, were celebrating the injunction as if it would have any effect on the chances of the Governorship candidate of the APC in the State, Arch Tonye Cole, explaining that the duo had taken the meaning of the injunction out of context.

He continued, “The manner in which this duo, who have proven beyond all doubts that they are hellbent on destroying APC in Rivers state, thereby weakening the the electoral succees of President Buhari, is no longer in doubt,

“Considering how they mobilised their supporters to celebrate the outcome of the Supreme Court setting aside of the Interlocutory Injunction by the Appeal Court against the State High Court of Chinwendu Nwaorgu, that set aside the congresses of Rivers state of May, exposes the evil plot against the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari and fortunes of APC in Rivers state.

“Abe who led some of his supporters in their erroneous and wild celebration in the State immediately the judgement was delivered proudly stated that “Any lawyer who bothered to read his book will know that APC has fallen into a deep pit”. In otherwords, he is so elated of leading APC to a deep pit” proven that he allowed himself to be used by Governor Wike to ensure that APC doesn’t field a candidate in the 2019 general elections. “If I may ask, which party faithful will embark upon such a fatal and futile exercise if he is not misled or have some ulterior motive against his party.

“Not relenting until his mission of destroying APC is accomplished, Senator Magnus Abe further boasted that “I will not leave the APC. I will remain in the APC and fight for justice”. One may ask which justice is Abe fighting for by decimating APC and frustrating every attempt to unite members of APC so that we can progress to unseat the evil administration of Governor Wike”, he said.

Eze said he was shocked that both Wike and Abe who are trained Lawyers could not interpret the Supreme Court ruling to their members accordingly, but instead pushed them to celebrate in their ignorance as if the Supreme Court have asked APC to submit Abe’s name as the gubernatorial candidate of APC to INEC.

“This funny duo forgot that an Interlocutory Injunction is granted when a matter is ongoing,it ends when judgment is given. Simply put for their education is that the Supreme Court simply requested the parties in contention to go back to the Apoeal Court and argue their positions accordingly which they did on 23rd October 2018 when the two parties or groups approached the Appeal Court Port Harcourt to argue their cases. Eze asked on what premises is Abe stating that he has put APC in a deep pit or rather to say that he has succeeded to make mockery of his political career.”

Eze highlighted that, “There are 3 pending Appeals before the Court of Appeal: (1) Appeal against the Order of Interlocutory Injunction restraining APC from holding congresses, (2) Appeal against the Order of Mandatory Injunction Setting Aside the Election of the Party’s Executive Members in Rivers State, and (3) Appeal against the Final Judgement of the High Court of Rivers State. Appeal on 1 & 2 seem to have been overtaken by the final judgement, which is the subject matter of appeal.

“Governor Wike and his collaborator Magnus Abe refused to understand that the Appeal  decided by the Supreme Court had nothing whatsoever to do with the candidature of Arch. Tonye Cole the APC Standard Bearer in the 2019 polls. The effect so far is that the APC’s nomination of Arch. Tonye Cole remains undisturbed. APC members are kindly advised to go about the business of winning votes for our candidates”, he said.
