The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has hit back at the presidency over its criticism of former President, Goodluck Jonathan’s book ‘My Transition Hours’.
DAILY POST reports that Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity on Thursday denied the allegation made by Jonathan in his book ‘My Transition Hours’ that the present administration was more corrupt than the previous ones.
The Presidency said the allegation lacked empirical evidence to back the claims and that the 16 years of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was a waste, especially on infrastructural development, despite the humongous money available to the government through oil.
PDP, reacting urged the presidency to focus on securing lives of soldiers and Nigerians in the North East instead of citing errors in the book.
The party in a post by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan on his Twitter page urged Buhari to call his aide to order and end killings in the nation.
Ologbondiyan said: “Many of our officers and men have been killed this week in the North East yet the Buhari Presidency is interested only in the contents #MyTransitionHours,
“PDP urges the C-n-C to review his parade and put an end to these needless killings across our nation.
“Get ‘Atikulated’ to GetNigeriaWorkingAgain Whatever the lies and propaganda of the APC, never forget to ask yourself “is life any better now than In 2015”?
