Peoples Democratic Party chieftain and a member of Abia state Advisory Council, Alhaji Suleiman Ukandu, has stated that his party, the PDP, was battle ready to defend their votes in the coming 2019 general election, in the country.
Ukandu who spoke with DAILY POST on Wednesday, warned the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, against perfecting plans to use federal might to subvert the will of the people.
He said, “Most of the APC leaders are boasting that they will use the military, police and arm-twist the INEC to do or carry out their biddings. So, it is in that line, they are giving them false hope.
” The people are wise now. People are battle ready to protect their votes. Power must remain in Abia south till 2023.
“APC is not a threat to PDP. So, power must remain there in line with Abia charter of equity. We must obey what our founding fathers have put in place in Abia for general peace and tranquillity.
“And since no any other party wants to toe that line, there is no vacancy in Abia government house,” he said.
