2019: PDP begins house to house mobilisation in Oyo, celebrates Makarfi’s victory

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said it has launched house to house mobilisation of members and supporters ahead of the 2019 general elections in Oyo State.

A stalwart of the party and ex-Chairman, Ibadan South West Local Government Area, Mr. Abiodun Adedoja, fondly known as Ekolo made the revelation on Thursday while speaking at a get-together held to celebrate the recent victory of Senator Ahmed Makarfi as the authentic National Chairman of the party.

He said the campaign became necessary to ensure the victory of the party in the next general elections in the state.

Adedoja who sued for peace then “appealed to members to begin house to house mobilisation of all PDP members and supporters of other political parties into the PDP’s fold.”

While thanking the leaders who stood by the party while the national leadership crisis lasted, Adedoja disclosed that the house to house campaign was necessary for the party to come back in 2019.

He specifically hailed a former Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Jumoke Akinjide, Senator Ayoade Ademola Adeseun; former Chief of Staff in the State, Dr. Saka Balogun and a former Majority Leader at the House of Representatives, Hon. Mulikat Adeola-Akande.

At the event held at Ode-Aje area in Ibadan North East Local Government Area were members of the party in their hundreds, amidst wild jubilation.

Lana in his address told members that with the court’s judgment of Wednesday, the PDP’s rebirth had commenced in earnest, assuring that the days of the ruling party in the state were numbered as PDP would take over Agodi government house by 2019.

While welcoming the party dignitaries, the party Chairman in Ibadan North East, Alhaji Musa Babajide commended all and sundry for believing in the PDP as a “truly people’s friendly party” that would take the state to its place of enviable height among other states in Nigeria.
