National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has revealed that he is not at ‘war’ with Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi State.
He disclosed this when governor Abubakar visited him in his residence in Abuja late Tuesday.
In a press statement emailed to DAILY POST by the governor’s Adviser on Media and Strategy, Ali Mohammed Ali on Wednesday, Oshiomhole was quoted as saying that his major concern was the victory of the APC at all levels.
“My main concern is the electoral victory of the party at all levels. I have no issues with you, your excellency. My concern is winning the coming elections, especially the presidential. We want to win more states and more legislators. I have faith in you,” said Oshiomhole .
Also speaking, Governor Abubakar revealed that he was in Oshiomhole’s residence to intimate him that he was returning his governorship nomination and expression of interest forms at the party’s national secretariat
Abubakar, therefore, sought the support of the APC National Chairman, describing him as as a father and a mentor.
The Governor was accompanied by members of the national and state Assembly, members of the State Executive Council and top party stalwarts.
