2019: NNPP blames INEC, political parties on poor voters registration exercise

New Nigerian people’s party, NNPP, has lampoon the Independent National Electoral Commission and all the registered political parties in the country responsible for all the challenges bedevilling the ongoing voters registration exercise

The chairman Bogoro Local Govt branch of Bauchi state, Mr Andrawus Ishaku, made the statement in an interview with DAILY POST in Bauchi, saying INEC and all the registered political parties were not doing enough to encourage their field staff in terms of welfare

Ishaku lamented that most political parties don’t even tour their respective registration centre to ensure the smooth conduct of the voters registration exercise.

“Let me tell you that even the ruling party is not doing much to ensure the voters registration exercise is hitch-free. Hardly you see them going round, but funny enough, they are busy talking about 2019 election,” ishaku queried

The NNPP boss noted that the INEC registration machines are not adequate and obsolete in an attempt to register the expected voters therefore causing congestion.

It could be recalled that center for information and technology, Bauchi had said INEC equipment were obsolete.
