Former military Head of State, Ibrahim Babamosi Babangida, IBB, has said Nigeria “needs someone” like a Presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Attahiru Bafarawa.
Babangida said this when the former Sokoto State governor paid him a visit in Minna, Niger State.
The former leader described Bafarawa as an “honest and transparent” Nigerian.
He also urged the opposition party to learn from its past mistakes.
Cautioning aspirants against do-or-die politics, Babangida said PDP cannot afford another crisis.
He advised PDP to ensure that there was fairness and transparency in all its dealings.
“Your recent triumph at the court over corruption allegations is a clear indication that you are a honest and transparent person, and Nigerians need someone like you,” Sun quoted Babangida as saying.
