Rabiu Kwankwaso, the senator representing Kano central, on Monday night met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa villa in Abuja.
He was accompanied by Abubakar Badaru, Jigawa State Governor.
Kwankwaso is among the aggrieved lawmakers believed to be planning their exit from the ruling party.
He was absent at the APC Convention but rather chose to visit Atiku Abubakar, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant same day.
He has been in a political rift with Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of his State, Kano.
Kwankwaso contested the presidential ticket of the APC in 2014, and came next to Buhari followed by Atiku.
However, the major reason for the meeting was not disclosed as of the time of this report.
