Presidential candidate of the Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party, ANRP, Tope Fasua, has challenged Senator Dino Melaye to run for the highest office in the land, if he really thought he was a popular politician.
He dared the Kogi West senator yesterday at The Osasu Show symposium/presidential debate held at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja.
Dino Melaye had walked into the auditorium as the first round of debates were ongoing. His arrival interrupted proceedings and distracted Donald Duke’s presentation as the audience greeted him with jubilation.
Reacting to the ruckus that ensued, Fasua said: “Someone earlier said people who matter are not here. Who are they that matter? If they don’t show up to debates, we are going to take over this country from them.
“I saw the way you were clapping for Dino Melaye (as he walked in). Dino is popular. But if he was more popular, he should be running for president today.”
