Former Governor of Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Alao Akala on Saturday cleared the air over speculations that he may soon dump the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Akala declared that he and his followers still remained in APC.
The ex-governor who spoke in Ogbomoso, urged his supporters to go join the APC.
Akala remarked that it was too early for him to say whether he was interested in any political office in 2019 or not, adding that events would determine where he will go
He then urged people of the country and the state in particular to continue to support President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Abiola Ajimobi of the state.
This confirmation has doused speculations and rumours of alignment between him and his former leader Senator Rashidi Ladoja.
DAILY POST recalled that Ladoja and some members of the PDP reconciliatory team had visited the Ogbomoso born politician in his Ibadan residence to seek his return into the party few days after he (Akala) held a private meeting with Abiola and former Senate Leader, Teslim Folarin in London.
Otunba Akala while giving reasons for his decision said Ogbomoso people always aligned with the party at the federal and his decision was not far fetched from that.
“I am yet to determine the next move but when the time comes I will act wisely”, he added.
