2019: Hunkuyi officially declares for Kaduna guber, tells supporters to ‘kill Change’

The Senator representing Kaduna North senatorial district in the National Assembly, Suleiman Hunkuyi, has officially declared his intention to contest the governorship seat of Kaduna State.

This was disclosed by his media office in a statement made available to newsmen in Kaduna on Friday.

The statement disclosed that the PDP hopeful made the declaration during a PDP townhall meeting of eleven local government areas in Angwan Wakili, southern Kaduna.

Recall that Senator Hunkuyi recently defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress to the Peoples Democratic Party.

In his declaration, Senator Hunkuyi was quoted as saying: “it is time to kill this change in Kaduna state.”

“My decision to contest the governorship election stems from the people’s desire to chart a new direction for the state.”

The statement added that eleven out of the twenty-three local government areas present, unanimously resolved to support the lawmaker in the 2019 governorship election.
