2019: Ex-Abia Speaker, Azubuike pledges loyalty to APC, congratulates Ogah

One of the aggrieved aspirants in the just concluded APC governorship primary election in Abia state, Martins Azubuike, has pledged his total loyalty to the party and expressed his resolve to work with all stakeholders to rescue the state from the clutches of bad governance.

Recall that Azubuike was among the aggrieved aspirants that accused the David Iyoha-led electoral committee of being induced to influence the outcome of the just concluded gubernatorial primary election held in Abia State.

But, Iyoha, who was a former Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, denied the allegation in an interview with newsmen in Umuahia, on Tuesday.

Azubuike who was also a former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly made this known in a brief statement made available to DAILY POST on Thursday, congratulating Dr. Sampson Ogah over his victory at the just concluded primary election held in the state.

The APC chieftain equally thanked members of the party who helped him to engender a peaceful outcome.

The statement reads,”Let me with every sense of responsibility and patriotism, I congratulate Dr. Uche Ogah on his emergence as our party Guber candidate at the primary election conducted on Tuesday.

“My congratulations also go to the APC family and indeed all who helped in one way or the other to engender a peaceful outcome”.
