2019 elections: PDP petitions IGP, raises alarm over alleged planned attack on members by APC in Osu

The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has raised the alarm over an alleged planned attack of its leadership and members by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

This was contained in a petition addressed to the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Adamu, through the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fimihan Adeoye, and signed by the Chairman of the party in Osun State, Hon. Soji Adagunodo, the copy, which was made available to newsmen in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

The petition reads”, Sir, this is to bring to your notice a very reliable intelligence report to the effect, arising from a clandestine meeting, between Mr. Adejare Bello, APC candidate for House of Representatives for Ede Federal Constituency and Dr Ajibola Bashiru, the APC’s Osun Central Senatorial candidate.

“The two men and others at the meeting have perfected plans to mobilise thugs to attack the convoy of our state chairman, Hon. Soji Adagunodo and our leader Dr. Deji Adeleke on their way to campaign in various local government most especially in Ila and Ifelodun federal Federal constituencies of the state.

“It is very important and urgent for the security agencies to check and call these men to order as they should be held responsible for any breach of the peace in this respect.”
