2019 elections: PDP afraid, alleges INEC may have compromised

National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has warned the independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to desist from acts tantamount to rigging the election even before the votes are caste.

Secondus said that the creation of central collation center by the INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu was to allegedly help the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the manipulat the polls.

He said this while addressing a crowd of party supporters at Haliru Abdu Staduim in Birini Kebbi on Sunday.

His spokesman, Ike Abonyi, in a statement said Secondus alerted that names of APC sympathizes were being compiled secretly and that INEC leadership had sucumbed to pressure from APC.

The National Chairman reiterated his earlier position that Nigerians will not accept a rigged election and will do everything humanly possible to resist the thwarting of the will of the people.

“The candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has all it takes to run a solid administration, he has been tested and tried both in private and public sector and he will provide food on your table as well as create jobs for youths of Nigeria.

Senate President and the Director General of the campaign, Dr. Bukola Saraki, speaking on the same vein urged the people to vote PDP in all the elections “to kick out poverty”.

The Governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Tambuwal who is the zonal coordinator of the PDP Presidential campaign, advised the people to “vote right for PDP candidates all the way”.

The PDP presidential train leaves Kebbi for neigbouring Zamfara state on Monday.
