2019 election: Why Atiku is better prepared than Buhari – Omokri

Reno Omokri, the former aide to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has said presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, Atiku Abubakar was more prepared to rule Nigeria compared to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Omokri stated this following Buhari’s refusal to submit his WAEC certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC as the various presidential candidates’ credentials were made available to reporters in Abuja on Thursday.

Buhari only submitted an affidavit where he claimed that his credential was with the Secretary of the Military Board while the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku submitted all relevant documents, with a Diploma in Law in 1969 from the Ahmadu Bello University being his highest qualification.

Buhari said in his affidavit, “I am the above-named person and the deponent of this affidavit herein. All my academic qualification documents as filled in my Presidential form, APC/001/2015 are currently with the Secretary of the Military Board as of the time of this affidavit.”

Speaking on the development, Omokri said non-inclusion of Buhari’s WAEC certificate to INEC shows Atiku is more prepared to govern Nigeria in 2019 than Buhari.

According to him, Buhari’s excuse that his certificate is with the military is not substantive.

Writing on his Twitter page, the former presidential spokesman said: “Atiku has produced his certificate to INEC, while Buhari has produced his excuse to INEC.

“By their actions, you will know who is prepared to govern for the next four years and who is prepared to make excuses for the next four years. Nigerians be wise.

” Buhari again tells INEC that his certificates are with the army. Who controls the army as Commander-in-Chief? Is it not Buhari? We‘ve seen the evidence of certificates leadership. We won’t accept that excuse.”
