Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Tuesday, stormed Ebonyi State to canvass support over his presidential ambition.
He also inspected governor Umahi’s projects.
On his arrival, Atiku was led to some of the gigantic projects of the state governor, David Umahi for inspection.
Led by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Francis Nwifuru and other members of the state executive council, the former Vice President inspected Pulverization plant, Dr. Offia Nwali flyover, Akanu Ibiam flyover, Tunnel bridge, Ecumenical center, shopping mall, New government house, International Market flyover and the International Market.
Atiku, who was elated with the rapid development of the state under Umahi’s administration, expressed satisfaction with the infrastructural developments in all PDP-controlled states in the country.
He said he was pleased with the projects of the state governor, Umahi, advising the state government to relocate all the roadside traders as soon as the ongoing Margret Umahi’s International Market was completed.
The Presidential aspirant noted that he was not always pleased to see people trading along the roads.
The commissioner for works, Engr Francis Nweze assured that the market would be completed and commissioned by December, 2018.
The visit, which grounded all activities in the state capital, witnessed various interest groups championing Atiku’s presidential ambition.
After the inspection, Atiku and his team retired at the Presidential lodge, Government House in Abakaliki where they would takeoff to the PDP Secretariat along Enugu-Abakaliki expressway.
He would meet with State Executive committee and stakeholders of the PDP at the venue.
