2019: APC governors missing at president Buhari’s campaign inaugural meeting

Governors elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, are absent from the inaugural meeting of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council.

The meeting is currently ongoing at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, and is being presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo; National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole; and National leader of the party, Bola Tinubu are among the party’s bigwigs in attendance.

President Buhari had on Monday inaugurated the APC Presidential Campaign Council and the governors were appointed as members of the council to coordinate their respective states.

For whatever reason, the governors were missing at the first meeting of the council, which is expected to determine strategies for the campaign.
