A former national chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) and current national chairman of ‎ the Progressives Peoples Alliance (PPA), Chief Peter Ameh has spoken on political parties backing out of the coalition with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Ameh, speaking with DailyTrust, said none of the 39 political parties which signed a memorandum on Monday ‎to dislodge the APC in 2019, had backed out.

Chief Ameh, who is a key player in the deal, said the African Democratic Party (ADP) which denied being part of the coalition didn’t sign the 2019 power deal and therefore wouldn’t have pulled out.

“Those making the statement are spineless bootleggers, enemies of democracy and mischief makers who can’t and will not stand for the overall interest of the nation except something that will give them immediate gratification.

“You can’t make a sweeping and misleading statement on issues that your party was not mentioned at all or try to pull out of an agreement which you or your party never signed.

“Whatever happens, history will be fair to the coalition members for the collective driven interest to savage Nigeria and we state emphatically that the right of association is enshrined in our constitution,” he said.‎
