Only three players have been able to score two goals each in the ongoing AFCON 2019.
The tournament is already seven days old and 39 goals have been scored from 18 matches.
The players who are currently the top scorers include:
Benin Republic’s Mickaël Poté
Michael Olunga (Kenya) and
Emmanuel Okwi from Uganda.
There are 33 players who had netted one goal and this set include Nigeria’s striker, Odion Ighalo and defender, Kenneth Omeruo.
Nigeria has managed to score two goals out of the 39 goals scored so far in Egypt.
Ighalo scored the first goal in their opening match against Burundi while Omeruo netted a header against Guinea on Wednesday.
Nigeria’s next match is on Sunday when they face Group B second place team, Madagascar.
