Argentine forward, Carlos Tevez, has vowed he will do everything to be in the squad that will face Iceland, Croatia and Nigeria in Russia.
Tevez, who just returned to Boca Juniors from Chinese Super League side, Shangai Shenhua, said he will do everything possible to win a place in the country’s squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The former Manchester United and Manchester City striker, who described his time in the CSL a holiday, impressed in his first appearance since his return for a third stint at the club in front of the adoring La Bombonera, setting up Nahitan Nandez for Boca’s second goal in their 2-0 win over Colon.
He told Ole.com.ar, “I’m prepared to do my best for Boca Juniors. I’m not going to make it easy for Sampaoli, I’m not going down because I’m working to reach my best level.
“We have few months left before the World Cup and there is still time for me to force my way into the mind of the coach.
“But first I have to excel in Boca, but the objective is the World Cup.”
Tevez has made 76 appearances for Argentina and scored 13 times.
