One of Nigeria’s opponents in the group stages of the 2018 World Cup, Croatia, are in advanced talks over a friendly with Brazil.
Both countries are discussing with Liverpool over the use of Anfield as venue for the game.
Sunday, June 3 has been pencilled in and it would pit Reds’ duo Roberto Firmino and Dejan Lovren against each other.
It would also see Coutinho back at Anfield, five months after completing a record-breaking £142million move to Barcelona.
A sell-out crowd would be guaranteed with Neymar also likely to feature for Brazil.
Stamford Bridge had been considered as a venue for the game, but reports in Croatia suggest that Lovren pushed for Anfield to be used instead
Argentina and Iceland are the other countries in Group D.
