Head coach of Zambia, Wedson Nyirenda, is confident that they have what it takes to defeat the Nigeria, when they clash in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, next month.

Nyirenda says victory will be paramount for his team away to the Super Eagles on October 7.

Gernot Rohr’s men led Group B with 10 points, three more than Chipolopolo and the encounter will go a long way in determining who picks the sole ticket.

“It will not be easy playing against a big team like Nigeria at their home where everyone will be there for them,” Nyirenda told Lusaka Times.

“But I think we have the character to get a win,”‎ he added.
