2018 World Cup: Neymar equals Romario’s goal record as Brazil outshine Austria

Brazil ended their 2018 pre-World Cup preparations on a winning note after a convincing 3-0 victory against Austria in Vienna on Sunday.

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Neymar, was on target again for Seleção, as he scored his second goal in back-to-back games.

The 26-year-old also scored in a 2-0 win against Croatia after returning from injury since February.

Also on target for the Southern Americans were: Manchester City striker, Gabriel Jesus and Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho.

Neymar’s goal means he is now joint-third with Romario on 55 goals in Brazil’s top goal scorers list.

Legendary Pele still tops on 77 goals while former Barcelona and Real Madrid striker, Ronaldo is second on 62 goals.

Brazil will face Switzerland in their World Cup Group E opener on June 17, before playing Costa Rica on June 22 and Serbia on June 27.
