Gent winger, Moses Simon has expressed his disappointment following coach Gernot Rohr’s decision to drop him from the Super Eagles’ squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

His mentor, Mohammed Mowiz Suleiman, revealed in an interview with OwnGoalNigeria, that coach Gernot Rohr feels to drop Simon from the team, after the forward underwent a scan in the UK, which indicated he will be out for two more weeks.

Simon, however, sent a good luck message to his international teammates ahead of this month’s tournament in Russia.

”I will like to thank all my fans for the love, support and prayers during this trying time, you all are amazing people it’s just a pity that I couldn’t make it to #Russia but man proposes but God disposes,” Simon posted on Instagram.

”I will definitely be back soon stronger and better. To #supereagles🇳🇬. I wish u all d best of luck in Russia go and make us proud.”

Simon started four matches in the third round of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, scoring once against Cameroon in Yaounde.
